Man in critical condition after Rock County school bus collision

A male driver of a car was critically injured and three students were also hurt in an accident in Rock County involving a vehicle and a school bus. A statement released by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said the two-vehicle accident happened on Highway 14 in Town of Center on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 5.

Deputies who responded to the crash scene found a vehicle trapped underneath the back portion of the school bus. The injured driver of the trapped vehicle was transported to a local hospital and is believed to be in critical condition. The driver has only been identified as a 36-year-old man. Authorities confirmed that three students were also treated due to minor injuries sustained in the collision. Both lanes of Highway 14 were temporarily blocked, and authorities have not issued charges or citations at this time.
