Milwaukee authorities arrest 15 intoxicated drivers over the weekend

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested 15 drunk drivers over the New Year’s weekend thanks to increased patrols and intense campaigns against intoxicated driving.

Aside from the drunken driving arrests, there were 47 citations issued to speeding drivers and at least 19 drivers were cited for license-related violations. According to reports, the highest blood alcohol content recorded of the 15 arrested over the weekend was 0.19 percent.

Milwaukee authorities arrested the first drunk driver at 1:09 a.m. on January 1. The patrols and arrests lasted through 7:17 a.m. on the same day, when the 15th drunk driver was arrested. From December 31 until January 3, Milwaukee authorities strengthened their presence in an effort to better monitor roadways to keep motorists safe from drunk drivers.

While this weekend marked a success in Milwaukee County with no collision caused by drunk drivers, we at Habush Habush & Rottier ® understand all too well that these types of accidents are incredibly common and very dangerous. That’s why we work to represent victims of car accidents as they pursue compensation for their injuries. To learn more, call us today at 800-242-2874.
