Two injured in Janesville car accident

Two people were taken to the hospital in ambulances with injuries sustained in a recent car accident in Janesville, according to reports on October 16.

The two-car collision occurred just before noon at the intersection of Racine Street and Franklin Street; one lane was partially blocked as officials worked to clean up the wreckage afterwards. An officer revealed that he witnessed a westbound pickup truck on Racine Street turn left at the intersection onto Franklin Street in front of a second vehicle traveling east on Racine. The eastbound vehicle was unable to stop in time, and the two collided.

The two occupants in the eastbound car were transported to the hospital due to minor injuries sustained in the wreck. The driver of the truck was apparently not injured and cooperated with responding authorities.

Far too often, people are left injured or permanently disabled after being involved in a car accident.
