Repeat OWI offender almost struck pedestrian in Madison

A pedestrian on a sidewalk in Madison was almost struck by a vehicle driven by a woman who had previous operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) violations, a September 22 report of Channel 3000 stated.

According to Madison Police, authorities responded to an incident that occurred on September 21st, regarding a drunken driver at the PDQ convenient store on at 401 N. Third Street. Authorities later arrested 43-year-old Jill Tornow, who was unconscious while inside her running vehicle. Police were later told by a witness that a person at a gas station was almost struck by the vehicle driven by Tornow. Tornow received her 4th OWI charge after authorities found empty bottles of alcohol inside her vehicle.
