Whitefish Bay crash victim succumbed to injuries

A female pedestrian accident victim in Whitefish Bay recently succumbed to her injuries at a Wauwatosa hospital, a Fox 6 article stated.

Reports confirmed that Kristen Caves, 26, of Hartland died at 4:04 p.m. on May 28 at Froedtert Hospital. According to police, two days earlier Caves was struck by a vehicle after it was hit from behind by another vehicle. The victim was crossing the street on a marked path when the car accident happened.

Police also said that the drivers involved in the accident were not believed to be impaired and were both cooperative with investigators. Both submitted to blood tests. The Whitefish Bay Police Department is being assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol in their investigation of the accident, which will include crash reconstruction. Authorities are also discussing if charges will be filed in the future; this decision will likely be made after the entire investigation has concluded.
