Hyundai issued Elantra recall of 260K vehicles for steering problems

South Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai recently issued a recall of an estimated 263,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada to fix a problem in the power steering, USA Today reported on March 1.

Reports said the recall affects previous models of Elantra sedans and touring versions. The power steering sensors in the affected vehicles may not work properly, requiring drivers to manually control the steering wheel. The federal auto safety regulators stated that the steering problem may heighten the risk of accidents. Hyundai Motor America is not yet aware of any crashes or injuries involving the recalled Elantra vehicles.

Though no one was reportedly injured before the recall was issued, the Wisconsin legal team of Habush Habush & Rottier ® knows that many people are injured after driving faulty vehicles. If you believe you are in such a situation, remunerations may be awarded to you if negligent car makers are liable. Find out how we may help you today by calling 800-242-2874.
