Sunday hit-and-run accident results in two fatalities

A Sunday, April 20 hit-and-run accident in Rock County left two motorcyclists dead.

Reports indicate that a head-on collision occurred between the motorcyclists and an SUV around 7 p.m. on Highway 14. The SUV apparently crossed the center line of the highway and struck the two Janesville motorcyclists. Mitchell J. Vance, 24, and Devin J. Julius, 18, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The two men were among a fleet of five motorcyclists.

The SUV fled the scene of the accident. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the SUV to communicate with authorities.
