Former Saturday Night Live actor busted for DUI

A car crash in Encino, California on Monday, February 10 led to the arrest of comedian-actor Chris Kattan after he was believed to be driving under the influence of drugs.

The car accident happened at around 1:00 a.m. when the westbound vehicle driven by Kattan struck the back of a stopped Department of Transportation truck on the 101 Freeway at Balboa Boulevard. Before the crash, a witness who called 911 reported that the vehicle was seen zigzagging.

The 43-year-old ex-Saturday Night Live actor, who was slightly injured in the crash, was later arrested by responding officers after failing a field sobriety test. Kattan was freed the same day after posting a bail of $15,000.

Drivers on the road who are under the influence of intoxicants can cause serious injuries to other motorists.
