A semi-truck that ran a stop sign hit the passenger side of a Saturn car, in which both a mother and daughter were riding on Friday evening, April 12th.

57-year-old Lois Schwert and her 18-year-old daughter Sheri, who were both wearing seatbelts, were injured and taken to nearby Grant Regional Health Center Hospital. Doctors said their injuries were non-life threatening.

Reports state that 21-year-old Mykola Havrylovych of  Portland, Ore. was driving along County A at Highway 129 in South Lancaster Township in a semi-truck with passenger, 33-year-old  Vyacheslav I. Bezhan at the time. Both were uninjured.

Police charged Havrylovych with great bodily harm and inattentive driving for failure to yield at a stop sign.
