Ice on road causes fatal Manitowoc County crash

A two-car accident in Manitowoc County on Tuesday morning left one woman killed and three others injured.

According to Manitowoc County officials, the accident occurred as a 34-year-old Sheboygan County woman was traveling in her  Toyota Corolla and she struck a patch of ice on the road.

This caused her to lose control of the vehicle and skid into a Ford Explorer driven by a 23-year-old man. The woman was killed from injuries sustained in the crash and the 35-year-old male passenger in her car was seriously injured. The two people in the Explorer, a 23-year man and 6-year-old girl, suffered non-life threatening injury.

Our condolences are with the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
