Man arrested for driving the wrong way down I-43

A 45-year-old man was arrested after he was found driving the wrong way down Interstate 45 near Milwaukee.

According to officials, the man drove nearly five miles northbound down the southbound lanes of the highway and almost collided with another motorist. The other vehicle swerved left and struck a median while trying to avoid a collision.

A county deputy than saw the man and sounded his siren for him to stop. The deputy was forced to jump the median in order to get the man to stop. A translator was needed during the field sobriety test and it was later found that the man’s blood alcohol content was at 0.25, which is over the legal limit. He was charged with second-degree reckless endangering and operating while intoxicated.
