Driver charged after crashing into home with stolen vehicle

A driver has been charged after crashing into the side of a home with a car that was previously reported stolen by his stepmom.

According to police, the accident occurred as the man struck the side of a home and hit a gas meter, which caused a minor gas leak. Two city blocks were evacuated for precautionary reasons.

The 19-year-old man was on probation at the time of the crash and had a no-contact order with the residence that was struck. As a result of the wreck, the man was charged with endangering safety, reckless driving, and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.
