Man charged with 5th OWI after passing out in truck

A 27-year-old man was charged with his 5th drunken driving offense after police allegedly found him passed out in his vehicle on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Wisconsin 78 and U.S. 14 when a passing motorist noticed a man and woman who were passed out in a truck in the middle of the right turn lane.

The passing motorist got out and put the truck into park so that it would not roll into the intersection and then called the police. Officials arrived at the scene to awaken the sleeping driver and arrested the male for his fifth offense of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
