Wisconsin becomes 25th state to ban texting and driving

Wisconsin has recently become the 25th state to ban texting and driving and the new law will come into effect on December 1.

Texting and driving can be very dangerous because it is a a huge distraction from the road. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, there were nearly 6,000 deaths that were linked to crashes where cell phone distraction was involved.

The new law is considered a primary offense, meaning a police officer can pull someone over if a driver is seen texting and no other driving error needs to be found.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident with a distracted or reckless driver, you may be able to be compensated for the pain that you have suffered. Contact the Wisconsin reckless driving lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, by calling 800-242-2874 today.
