Highway 29 closed after semi-truck rollover

A semi-truck rollover accident in Chippewa County left multiple lanes of the highway closed last week.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the driver of a semi-truck that was carrying 36 head of cattle, lost control of the truck for unknown reasons causing the the truck to flip over. One lane in each direction was closed while emergency crews worked to clear the accident.

The eastbound lane remained closed for almost eight hours after the wreck. The local veterinary clinic was called to the scene in order to help with the cattle.
