Car Crash Leaves 4 Year Old Boy on Life Support

A collision between a car and a minivan left a 4 year old boy on life support in Mount Pleasant.

Officials are saying that the driver of the van ran a red light and was charged with several offenses including driving without a license and causing great bodily harm. Police are still investigating the details of the accident. According to family members, the accident caused the 4 year old boy to lose almost two-thirds of his brain functioning. After the van crashed into the car, it took rescue workers nearly 20 minutes to resuscitate the young child.

Our hearts go out to the victim and those involved in the collision.
