A 19-year-old was killed after a bus collision occurred last week. The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. on Friday after the teenager rear-ended the bus on Highway 51/60 as it attempted to turn left.

The teen was airlifted to the University of Wisconsin Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.  The two students that were on the bus were unharmed in the incident.

The teenager’s airbag did not deploy in the accident because the front bumper sensor was not activated. Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the crash, but it remains under investigation at this time.
