A female driver is facing several charges, including intoxicated driving charges, after she was apprehended by authorities in Wisconsin for speeding, a CBS 58 report stated on July 7.

Pleasant Prairie resident Melanie Lynn Alvarez, 36, reportedly was apprehended on southbound Interstate 94 after state authorities noticed her vehicle was speeding excessively at 97 mph. Alvarez was required to do a field sobriety test after a trooper noticed signs of intoxication. A blood sample was also taken from Alvarez and charges of speeding, endangering a child, and intoxicated driving were filed against her. Alvarez was booked at the Racine County Jail.
