Website safecar.gov lets people check recall status of vehicles

On August 20, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) introduced www.safecar.gov to provide consumers with detailed vehicle information, including the status of recalled vehicles.

The free website introduced by the NHTSA will provide free information regarding the status of vehicles that may have been included in a past recall. For vehicle owners to get information, they have to type the identification number of their vehicles (VIN) when prompted by the website.

New and ongoing recalls will also be posted on the website. Car manufacturers are now required to sync their databases with the data of safecar.gov by updating them every week.

People tend to suffer serious injuries and great financial losses from using unfixed recalled vehicles. In this difficult situation, enlisting the Wisconsin legal team of Habush Habush & Rottier can be a good way to increase your chances of getting compensation for your suffering.
