Jail term awaits reckless driver of Barron County fatal crash

The driver responsible for the accident in Barron County in 2012 that claimed the life of a teenager and injured another was recently sentenced to jail, an article by TwinCities.com reported on May 1.

Spooner resident Wade Richey, 23, was sentenced to jail on April 30 for a maximum of 6 ½ years after he was found guilty of using controlled substances and reckless driving. Teenager Triston Sager, 15, rode in the seat-less rear portion of Richey’s vehicle and was killed in the wreck. Another occupant in the SUV also sustained injuries. The defendant, reportedly driving over 90 mph before the crash occurred, was apparently aware that the vehicle had a brake problem.

In addition to the great emotional burden of an unexpected death, families of fatal car accident victims also suffer huge financial loss due to expensive funeral services. If you have experienced this in Wisconsin, the legal team at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. may possibly advocate for you to seek financial aid from negligent drivers to recover your loss.
