Man killed in Ironwood pedestrian accident

A man was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred in Ironwood last Tuesday.

According to police, the 77-year-old man was walking near the intersection of McLeod Ave. and South Suffolk St. when he was struck by a car. Police are still investigating the details of the crash, but accident reconstructionists have been called to the scene in order to determine the cause.

The man was then transported to Aspirus Grandview Hospital where he was later pronounced dead due to injuries sustained. The driver of the vehicle was cooperating with the investigation.

 

Buggy and car accident in Sparta sends two to hospital

A buggy and car accident in Monroe County caused two young adults to be sent to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to county officials, the accident occurred as a 61-year-old man was driving behind two buggies and attempted to pass them in the oncoming lane.

While attempting to pass, the second buggy in line turned in front of the car and they collided. The buggy overturned on its side as a result and the two people inside were transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital to be treated.

Man in critical condition following Wisconsin car accident

A 23-year-old man is currently in critical condition following a car crash that occurred late Saturday night in Waupun.

According to officials, the accident occurred as a 39-year-old male driver was traveling on Highway 57 and his vehicle struck another one head-on when it crossed the center line.

The 39-year-old man was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained. The 23-year-old man was the passenger in the car that was struck and he suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a hospital in Madison by helicopter.

Dodge County rollover accident occurs on Wisconsin 67

A 22-year-old man and 17-year-old girl were injured as a result of a rollover accident on Wisconsin 67 that occurred Tuesday night in Dodge County.

The local sheriff’s department responded to the scene to find the 17-year-old trapped inside the car. She was extricated and transported to a Milwaukee hospital by helicopter.

Officials believe that the accident occurred when the man somehow lost control of his car and struck a ditch. The car went airborne after striking the concrete culvert in the ditch. The car then flipped and landed on its roof. The extent to which each were injured is still unknown at this time.
