Racine County accident takes life of one man

A car and semi-truck accident on Highway 20 in Racine County took the life of one man.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred as a 35-year-old man was traveling northbound on Highway 20 when he struck the back of a semi-trailer.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene because of multiple traumatic injuries sustained. The semi-truck driver was injured in the accident, but the injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Police officials stated that the investigation into the accident may last a week.

Sheboygan resident arrested for OWI after two-car accident

A 54-year-old Sheboygan man was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving after an accident occurred on Saturday that resulted in one man going to the hospital.

According to Wisconsin officials, the accident occurred as the man was driving on Moenning Road and rear-ended a Toyota that was stopped at a stop sign.

The driver of the Toyota suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to the hospital. The Sheboygan man was arrested at the scene for an OWI, his fifth time to be arrested for drunk driving.

Man injured in accident while test riding motorcycle

A man was injured as a result of a motorcycle accident that occurred as he was testing the vehicle on Kelly Road.

According to police, the 49-year-old man was riding the motorcycle when it ran off the side of the road causing it to go airborne.

The motorcycle then struck an embankment and the man suffered serious injury as a result of the crash. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the man was transported to the hospital by helicopter.

One killed in 10-vehicle chain reaction accident

One person was killed and six others were injured as a result of a semi-truck accident that occurred on Tuesday morning.

According to Germantown police officials, the accident occurred as a semi-truck driver crossed the center line of the highway and collided head-on with car.

This collision then caused another semi-truck and eight other cars to be involved in a chain reaction accident. Two cars were trapped underneath a bed of a semi-trailer. One person in a trapped vehicle was killed and another was extricated by police and suffered serious injuries. Five other victims also suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The roadway was closed in both direction after the accident.

Police investigate Racine pedestrian accident

Police are currently investigating a pedestrian accident that occurred in Racine and left one woman dead.

According to police, the accident occurred as the 75-year-old woman was crossing the street at an intersection and was struck by a 51-year-old driver. Police have determined that the woman was walking against the red light when she was struck.

When police arrived at theĀ  scene, she was transported to Wheaton Franciscan- All Saints Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The man driving the pickup truck stated that he was unable to avoid the accident. No citations have been given due to the pending investigation.
