Drunk driver sentenced to 15 years in prison

A 41 year-old illegal immigrant who crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing the driver, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The drunk driving accident occurred on New Years Eve. The man was intoxicated when he drove the wrong way down I-94 in Milwaukee, hitting a car with a 34 year-old mother inside. His blood alcohol level at the time of the accident was .145, nearly twice the legal limit. He is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and driving with an invalid license. Along with his prison time he also is sentenced to 7 years extended supervision.

Another person was injured the next lane over in this accident but is expected to make a full recovery.

Motorcycle and deer collision results in the death of one

A motorcycle accident on rural roads in Western Wisconsin took one man’s life and injured another.

The accident occurred as a 51-year-old man was driving a motorcycle with a 13-year-old passenger when they collided with a deer. The motorcycle then skidded across the road and the impact caused both of them to be partially ejected.

The 51-year-old man was pronounced dead the next day at the hospital. The 13-year-old’s injuries were not life threatening. Deputies are still investigating the accident at this time.

Woman killed after I-94 rollover accident

A woman was killed after being involved in a I-94 rollover accident on July 4.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred as the woman was driving eastbound on Interstate 94 when she somehow lost control of the vehicle. The details of what caused her vehicle to flip and rollover are unknown at this time.

The woman was transported to the hospital by emergency crews, but she was later pronounced dead. She was wearing her seat belt when her car rolled over. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
