According to officials, a 17-year-old teen was arrested after allegedly striking a Milwaukee police officer with a stolen vehicle.

The police officer and his partner were on bicycle patrol when they saw the vehicle and noticed that the driver was pressing the horn over and over. When the officers tried to talk to the teen, he drove off, struck one of the officers and dragged him several feet.

The other officer opened fire on the driver, but no one was hit. The 32-year-old officer was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. The teenager was wanted by authorities after escaping from a juvenile detention facility. He later admitted to police that he was involved in the accident.
