A Hinckley man has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on State Highway 77.

Rescue crews responded to the accident near St. Croix Trail and found that a husband and wife were riding when they struck a deer. The impact caused the 60-year-old driver and the 61-year-old passenger to be thrown from the vehicle.

The wife was airlifted to the hospital after suffering serious injury and her husband was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation but both people were wearing helmets. The current condition of the wife is unknown.
